I am installing a brand new 60-1 small board that Nixs sells and am having an issue. When in the I/O test screen all my buttons register properly. But when trying to use the test or service buttons to go through the settings they do not work. Each one is a simple momentary switch, and each registers properly on the boards I/O test screen. Why won't they work in the settings???

I've bought dozens of boards from multiple sources. My 2 issues :

Board was a hair too thin, added solder to edge of Jamma to make better contact

Jamma harness was too thin of gauge wire, resulting in entermitten or failing signals

My other idea... What's your +5...

instead of the test and service buttons - wire S1 and s2 and s3 buttons instead (these are the p1 buttons 1-3). then flip dip 4 on pcb turn on game. you will then be able to adjust settings

Nick is a good guy- I had one of these boards boot with a ? mark then it did nothing. he sent me a replacement in a few days. these boards also need way more adjustments on them too. JUST MY 2 CENTS

No price difference. Small board is replacing big board.

Are you double-using a button for your test and service? For example, if you have it wired for both S1 and Test, then it may not work properly.

How are you getting to the I/O screen if you can't use the test button to advance?

And you may not get the test and service button to work in the menu if you are using the dip switch to access the menu. i think the board then assumes you have no test or service button, and allocates S2 and S3 to work as those buttons...
