glad to hear it. as long as the parts can be used by someone else i see no harm nor foul.it wasn't gutted, but it was beyond simple repair. The guy at the radio museum gladly took the old "guts" to be used as parts. it was a fun build because half the work was trying to decide where things should go, how to best attach, and how to get wires where I needed them.

I like it, it's kind of "steam-punk" ish!
The wooden joystick is a great idea, you can probably find something to adapt at Home Depot in their hardware section, or hit up a Hobby Lobby. They have tons of turned wood items; cut off that plastic joystick top and epoxy a finished wood one on.
Showing the PCB with that subtle lighting is a nice touch.
