I found a WWF Wrestlefest game, that had Time Killers artwork. The cabinet was originally a Champion Baseball by Sega and spent some time as Superman as well. Anyway, I have a friend who wants a 60 in 1, so this cab is going to be it. However, I am going to use the monitor elsewhere. What kind of monitor works well with the 60 in 1 board. Am I better off using a VGA computer monitor, or an LCD? Not trying to piss anyone off here. Just want some good opinions. If you want to voice your opinion on control panel setup, that would be appreciated also. Thanks.

If you want to eliminate what sucks about 99 percent of the 60 in 1 machines then you have to realize that you shouldn't be making an actual 60 game machine, as 17 of these games should be turned off in most builds.

Get a 21" curved tube VGA monitor (you will find one on craigslist for less than 50 bucks easily). The 21" ones are closest in size to 19" arcade monitors.

For the control panel use a 4-way joystick (use the replacement stick for the Ms. Pac/Galaga reunion machine) and two buttons.

Turn off all the following games, as none of them will control properly with a 4-way joystick (and this also covers the worst offenders in the bad sound arena as well). Adding in multiple control types to try to play everything invariably ends up being a worse product than just using a 4-way and turning the others off, as people will never know what joystick to use and will invariably play half their games using the wrong one.

1942
1943
Arkanoid
Centipede
Galaga 3
Gyruss
Juno First
Millipede
Scramble
Super Breakout
Super Cobra
Time Pilot
Xevious
Zaxxon
Gunsmoke
1943 Kai
Congo Bongo (4-way but needs a qbert joystick).

Finally, be sure to turn off attract mode sound and set the speed to fast on the duplicate versions of the pac games (and I think Galagao too) otherwise you will just have duplicate slow versions. May want to consider just setting all the initial Pac-Man games and galaga to fast and simply turning off the duplicates, as fast seems to be the way most everyone wants to play, and the menu doesn't actually indicate fast or slow.
