My 60 in 1 pcb has no video. It had not been turned on for about a week (when it worked fine). I powered it up yesterday and the monitor is not getting a signal. The monitor checked out ok. The power supply is working with correct voltages. The pcb has the LEDs on but i have no idea what they mean. The machine is on the same circuit as several other machines that all are working fine. I am using a lcd monitor hooked up directly to the pcb. Any ideas???

Try flipping dip switch 2 on then off a few times. That switch controls the VGA\Arcade monitor setting.

what brand lcd are you using? I've had trouble with a couple different monitors losing signal to the board. Sometimes they don't get the signal right away, sometimes after a week or two it loses signal. Coincidentally, the problem seems to happen with the lower-quality boards.

The board is almost a year old. I have no idea of quality, i got the board from Nixs and the quality seems good. I'll try the dip switch and see if it helps.

The lcd is an ACER. Tried flipping the dip to no avail.

Hmmm. The NIXS boards are typically the higher quality boards which I have never had issues with. If you have a second computer monitor around, plug it in and double check the problem is not with the ACER. I've had two Dell LCDs which have both sucked arse like this, yet other brands worked fine.

Turn dipswitch #2 back off (for CGA use) and turn the power back on with the VGA cable still plugged in. If your monitor reads "source input out of range" or something like that, you'll probably need a different monitor.

I'll have to try the other monitor tomorrow, i have to go to work in a few. After thinking about the situation, I get no sound out of the machine either. If it were just the monitor then I should be able to hear it play blind. I leaning toward a board failure. I have another jamma machine that I will move this pcb into tomorrow and give it a whirl.

Yup. No sound, something is screwed. I've heard those boards can suffer mass failure if they surge over a certain voltage level.

I have another board on its way so we'll see. I can't think of any line surges, I had that breaker off a couple days ago but if all it takes is an on / off to surge it, then don't know what i'll do with it? There are several pins and three other vids on that circuit; but only a few have been turned on and none really together. Usually when a pcb craps out there is some descernable reason. I'll test it this weekend to see if i can figure it out and got another PS along with the new board just in case.
