Hey Mike, like the new site, and noticed you have one of the older neo multicarts in stock. Would you consider stocking the newer ones? (161-1, 150-1 etc.) Would definitely pick one of those up if you ever carried them.

Thanks to all for the good words and noticing the site.

Thanks for noticing the new site, it's been a long time since I have messed with Web pages. It surely is much easier now than it was in the 90's :)

I have had a few people ask about the multi-carts and I have ordered a few (120 / 138) as people have asked for them. So, if anyone needs something specific shoot me a PM and I will see what can be done.

Thanks Much

Michael

Does Gyruss have stereo sound on this pcb? And are there any sound differences compared to the originals with any of the games?

I remember reading about this

Does Gyruss have stereo sound on this pcb? And are there any sound differences compared to the originals with any of the games?

AFAIK the only game listed on the board that originally had stereo audio is Gyruss. (This board does not do stereo) I recall reading online or in the forums to get the most effect for Gyruss audio, you should use a set of amplified computer speakers to amplify and enhance the sound. If someone knows this to be the case please let me know and I will add it to the 60 in 1 buyer feedback page.

As for the sounds for the other games being different or the same, this has been addressed numerous times all over the Web and the forums. After reading and reading and reading I have come to the conclusion (At least in my minds eye) that it all depends on the users ears, hardware being used and the 60 in 1 software.

I have not compared every audio file side by side with the original on every game, but the sounds must be very passable to the consumers, otherwise the board would not sell. I did do a side by side between an A , B 60 in 1 and Original Donkey Kong machine and could barely tell a difference between the three. I could only tell because I was listening for it. I had another set of ears listen and they couldn't tell a difference.

If you suspect a sound issue I would recommend an audio bench test through a set of amplified computer speakers. That would give you a good comparable against a possible worn out cabinet speaker, wiring issue or a bad 60 in 1.

I also recommend that one experiment with the audio level in the software and the manual adjustment on the board itself. This allows a fine tuning of the audio output for the specific machine that the 60 in 1 is going to be installed in.

I also would like to put it out there that a lot of the "Word of Mouth" and "Forum Posting" about audio issues on these boards. These posts span a long period of time and the author could have been referring to an older model 60 in 1. This board has had a few revisions from what I have seen and read.

I have only been in this hobby a few seconds when compared to some of the others members and the real Gurus out there. Some of the forum members have been fixing and repairing arcade games for decades and might be able to better opine on the sound issue.

Thanks for the question.

Michael

Bump

My 60 in 1's are $70.00 (Over 50 in stock)
19 in 1's are $80.00 (New Version)

I carry Zippyy Joysticks, Ball tops, Power Supplies, Harnesses, PCB Feet and locks. I have been looking into buttons for some members. In short, I try to carry some basic and common items one might need for their game.

If I can help you, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks to all for the support.
Michael

I bought an older 60 in 1 and the 2 player games are only 1 player. Is it still the same?

And when you continue on some games it just goes back to the game menu. It wont let you continue. Is it still like that?

Awesome prices!

Thanks. I wish I had more time to just play games :)
It has been moths since I got to sham a little and play some Galaga.

In my signature block you will see a link to a 60 in 1 quick guide. It's definitely not all my work but it is a good source for basic information on the board. (If someone sees an error let me know please)

I dont know which games play head to head, but there are supposed to be two.

For the continuing I am not sure I am tracking. Are we talking like NEO GEO continue where you shovel quarters in? Or start the same game again after you get killed?

If its going into the same game again, I have seen buttons wired "Weirdly" impact that. Some people expand the purpose of the 2 player start button to include "Fire / Action". That can and cause issues if not thought out, connected to a competing button and actually tested for the machine setup the board will go into.

Hope I helped. Let me know if you have more questions

For example on the contiuues. If you have already 10 credits in it, and die. Mines will go back to the menu, instead of letting you continue.

I just got one of these.

Any game that supports 2 player play supports 2 players.

You can continue in games that ask you to continue after you die (1942 and 1943 for example). It does drop back to the main iCade menu, but you just select the game you were just in and when it starts you're back at the continue screen and get to keep playing. Mine is on free play so no idea about adding credits etc.
