getting ready to install my crappy Chinese hobby-killing bull$hit board in my cab and wondering

Whats the top ten best and top ten worst games on this board???

Not the games themselves outside the board, I mean the versions you get with the board.

10 best in no particular order

scramble (one reason you must have an 8 way stick, preferably a switchable stick)
Shao Lin's road again 8 way
dig dug
pac man
super pac man
dk jr
time pilot
space invaders
phoenix
donkey kong

10 worst:
congo bongo (because the play is so shitty) If it played ok, it'd top 5 for me
centipede (without a trackball)
millipede(without a trackball)
arkanoid(using a joystick)
galaga average game at best
gunsmoke the sound is 10 times louder than any other game on the board
video pinball
8ball shootout (or whatever the f___ they call it)
1943 (it entices people to drop 2 joysticks in instead of a trackball on the control panel)
galaxian the sounds seem way off

thanks!!!

there is no effin way you could ever play arkanoid with a joystick. Does the chinese prison manufactured board allow use of rotary controllers?

thanks!!!

yes, you need to do a little research on here, there have been threads concerning installing a spinner. I have never done it.

Pot, meet kettle.....

Between the hobby killing comment above and prison labor reference why are you buying the 60-1? While I have no problem with the boards myself, your comments seem rather hypocritical.

That's because you don't seem to understand humor.

Also, "Pot, meet kettle" doesn't fit here...

I agree. I am now collecting dedicated cabs. The 60 in 1 got it started, and helped me with my fix in the mean time.

They aren't hobby killers at all! I started with one in a generic cabinet and it really got me into collecting dedicated cabs!

On to the 10 and 10. I haven't played all the games yet, but I have noted a few things others have mentioned. Gunsmoke is extremely loud, Galaxian's sound is off. Millipede, Centipede and Arkanoid are tough to play with a joystick. I do like DK, DK Jr and Mr Do. I find myself playing them the most.

All in all, I would recommend the game to anyone who enjoyed a multitude of games back in the day, yet can not afford to collect them all, or can not find them all today.

You can turn games off on a 60-in-1 right?

I have a Centipede and a MsCrackman (Speed chip installed) and I would rather people play the real versions than the emulated versions when available. Also I heard video pinball sucks. :)

I often see folks on here that have questions about multicades and there are usually two different ways the questions are asked:
1. I got a friend of a friend's second cousin who has a question regarding a 60-1....
-or-
2. The way it was asked in this thread...

I believe, based on history on this forum, people do this in an attempt to avoid getting flamed.

60 in 1's are cool. I made one for my buddy and now he has 15 dedicated cabs.
Every time I build one I play the shit out of it before I give it to whom it's intended for. A 60 in 1 is the reason I bought a dedicated congo bongo (even though this is one of the worst games on the 60 in 1 gameplay wise)

I took the original posters comments about the multiboards being hobby killers (or whatever he said) as somewhat of a joke and didn't look real deep into it. I don't think he intended for anyone would take a deep approach to it when he typed it. Just a funny comment.

Yeah, you can disable games. If you disable all but 1, it acts like a dedicated cab (will just run in attract mode in the 1 game, without going back to the iCade selection screen). As to sound on the games, a few are horrible, either the sound is off or they have terrible distortion. Gyruss, Bomb Jack, 1942 and 1943 have pretty bad distortion. Millipede and Phoenix just sound horrible. Others are pretty close.

VAN VAN CAR....a favorite????

Ummmm How on earth has VAN VAN CAR NOT made it on anyone's worst game list here?

That is one stupid game. Just sayin.

i turned it off on mine, forgot it was even on there. the things that really annoy me about the iCade are:

1 awful distorted sound on certain games (time pilot, scramble, etc). i don't care if the sounds are a bit unauthentic but the explosions sound like bacon frying in a pan

2 no way to turn the generic iCade attract music off while leaving the individual game's attract music ON. that crappy techno is so out of place.

other than that it's 60ish games for +/- $75, kind of a no brainer if you dont' have a lot of space or big budget.
