how close to the original pac man is the version on the 60 in 1 board? Is it exactly the same?

Also...what about Ms. Pac Man?

Thanks...just need to know for future ref.

those two are exactly the same as far as i can tell.

if my Pac board is bad, i'm thinking about putting one in since its a Jamma set up and would be easier and then I can set it to only play pac and ms pac....or whatever versions are on there...i've got a 60 in 1 laying around here...i know the power brick needs work because the diodes are broken and i cant find the info on what to replace them with...and i dont have any way to test my board...just thought it would be cool to be able to play either/or...and it would be simple enough to put back to original if i can ever get a ms pac man cab...i dunno...just thinking about options.

Pac man

Its the same.. All the versions on it. You wont be able to tell the difference.
And its also cheaper to replace!!!!!

Just make sure you use an adapter to convert the AC going into a Pac board to the DC needed for the 60-in-1. If you don't convert it, you'll blow up the 60...

If i use the 60 in 1 i will just put an ATX or switcher in there...wont be using any of the original pac stuff.

All the games in the 60-in-1 are very close to the originals if not perfect, it's only the sound that's really poor on some of the games, although it seems to me this isn't a problem with the pac games.

That's the power supply. You still need a harness to route signals to the monitor, speakers, and control panel. If you use a new harness, then you're fine. But if you use the existing harness, you'll need an adapter - and you'll need to remove the four fuses on the bottom so the AC power is removed from the Pac edge connector...

ah i see what you are saying...but, yeah...if i do this i will go with a new Jamma harness...the cab is currently gutted and being sanded down...there is nothing in it...I want to put it back original, but if the board is shot and i cant get the brick fixed i'm just going to go the 60 in 1 route....it's also a Pac Plus right now, and I want to put it back to the original Pac....so I'd have to get a ROM set at the least...will probably just put it back original, but kinda making a plan b.

They're a little off on Ms Pac (I think the sound the eyes make going back to the pen is the one that's off) but Jr Pac sounds pretty close.

i think you meant to say - "The caps on my dedicated Ms Pac board are original, so they don't filter the voltage quite as good as when new, causing the sound to be slightly different than when new. I can tell this because when I listen to the way they should be on the 60-in-1, they sound different than my original board."

Or not.... ;)

Not :D I know what a real one sounds like, I've played it enough over the years ;)
