I'm trying to hook up a trackball to a 60-1 with no luck.I bought the wire harness from bob roberts hooked it up and nothing happens. The trackball is out of a capcom bowling cocktail table.I'm wondering if there is a setting on the board that is set wrong. Thanks

well I did the same thing, was told you need the A quality PCB and the harness and a red board trackball, got all those and still nothing, I went back to the Capcom trackball and just wired it into player 2 harness and worked great, not sure if was issue with trackball, pcb or what, hope that helps sorta :)

It's common knowledge for those who've been building them for a while now that the trackball inputs on the board will not work more often than they will. Connecting it to the 2P wiring usually works, though....

Where did you get your board? I have my Crystal Castles cocktail table with dual trackballs working with the two inputs. I had this hooked up previously as one trackball through player 2 and found that in cocktail table mode, the player two joystick would stop working sometimes. If I reached over and moved the player one trackball, it snapped out of it. I got a new dual support board and a second trackball and it works great now.

The only problem I had is that the trackball direction inversion did not work on player two. I had to switch the X and Y wire pairs.

Thanks for the info guys I'll give that a shot tomorrow.I got the board in a trade so I could build a 60-1 for a guy.Thought the trackball would be plug and play, forgot about where the boards are made.
