60-1 multi. How many buttons needed on control panel?

Putting together a 60-1 multi cocktail and was wondering how many buttons I need on the control panel to play the games?

I don't know if they've changed them (I doubt it), but on the 48-in-1's, you need at least 2 buttons to configure the games. I have mine in a Gaplus cab with 1 button, and I didn't want to hack the control panel, so I just added a wire for a 2nd button and hooked it to the player 2 start button. You could also just mount a switch inside the cab where it's easily accessible if you only want 1 button on the outside.

on a cocktail you need 2 sets of controls but at the ends. The only use for you is the game flipping from player to player. You need 1 player, 2player, shoot Jump Shoot, for each player. and if you running free play then no coin switch is needed. I used a toggle switch for the "test" button. When you first enter the settup you need to hold the test button down. I just toggle it on and walk away, then to access games and dip switches just flip it on off and your good to move thru the pages.
So free play cocktail you need 8 buttons and a toggle. and 2 8 way handles.

3 buttons. There was just a thread about this. 2 games use 3 buttons. The 3rd button is also important when navigating the 70 or so menu pages. Often times you'll be trying to get to a particular game's DIP settings and you'll pass it up. The 3rd button works as a back button.

You can live without the third button, but I personally prefer it. Gun.smoke is a pretty good game.
