60-1 audio from JAMMA causes screen to flicker

If you're running it through the sound amp on a nintendo monitor, that could be the cause. The sound on the 60-in-1 is already amplified and doesn't need to be amplified again...

Thanks for the reply, but it's running directly from the JAMMA harness to the speaker, directly off the 60-1 board.

I have checked all my voltages too and they are spot on off the PS to the edge

Any other thoughts? Has anyone else seen this before?

Is that a Sanyo monitor? If so, you are running an inverter board correct? How are you powering the inverter board? Off of the Sanyo chassis or off of the power supply itself?

I have converted numerous 60-in-1 games using Sanyos and they will all do this if the inverter board is powered from the power supply and not the monitor chassis. The fix is to power the inverter board off of the chassis.

Son of a bitch! That might be the problem then. The person I got the Sanyo from had the inverter powered from the PS and removed from the chassis. I guess I'll have to reconnect it :(

Think I can fix it if I just put in a PS only for the inverter? I really don't feel like pulling the chassis out...and I have an extra PS laying around...

I am pretty sure that would do it but it would probably be just as much work to add another supply.

Just added the power supply but it's bad... Only giving me 11.8v on the twelve rail at max. So the inverter board isnt getting power. Looks like I have a project for the weekend :) thanks for the fix

The Sanyo may have the connector already attached that plugs into the inverter. if so, just plug it in...

Funny. I am having the same issue right now with a factory inverter. And yes it's plugged in. Any other ideas? Is it possible that the amp is bad? I am using the onboard amp, not running straight off Jamma. Maybe it's like what was mentioned with the pre amp. I will try to go direct and see what happens.

Unfortunately who ever had this before me removed the red wire from the Sanyo, made it longer with another cable and hooked it up to a switching ps. When I got this sanyo, it was in a MB wide body that was a double dragon. The monitor needed a lot of work to get running again

Fixed!

It was the inverter issue! I left the inverter and ground connected to my switching ps, unhooked everything else and I am powering the board from a external hard drive molex power supply I no longer need. Works great :)
