So i'm building a 4 player cab as some may have seen in the build thread, and I wanted to stick Xmen in there.

So I bought X men 6 player off fleaBay thinking i could stick it in my cab and run just the 4 players (or i was going to build 2 NES controllers to allow player 5 and 6 to work)

BUT i ran into this issue.... It looks like the damn game needs 2 monitors to work. When I tested it tonight, through the JAMMA harness it came up with the right side of the screen. The left side didn't exist. Then i noticed that the board had an OUTPUT for another monitor...

Can this game be run on just 1 monitor, or do I need to search for a 4 player version that is MENT for 1 monitor?

yes you need two monitors for the 6 player. i have a 6 player there isn;t away i know of to make it imput on one screen. the 4 player board you reference on ebay is what you need to get. if you want to sell the 6 player board pm cause i would liek a spare.

OK, so i tested the additional OUTPUT on a monitor and it comes out backward. I'm trying to see if this is normal. I'm not sure if one monitor is projected and the other one is upright or not.

HELP! Just want to make sure this board is working great before selling it.

One monitor shoots through a two way mirror while the other is mounted below the mirror and reflects off so it would be backwards. Sounds like it works fine to me. Hows the sound does that work?

Sound wasn't looking to good. Well, we didn't get any at all. We (by we, I mean modessitt and I) looked up the KLOV thread and saw that replacing resisters on the sound chip should fix the problem. So that is in the works!

He means replacing capacitors, not resistors. Looks fairly straight-forward...
