$50 POS Stinky Asteroids

Just picked up a POS Asteroids cab. I will post pictures soon. Klover Taco went to look at it a few days ago, It was on Craigslist for $75. He got there and removed the back door. He said there was a 4in pile of rat poop in the bottom and the cabinet reaked bad. He said he would pass and called me.


I landed a free Lunar Lander empty cabinet, its on the east west game run truck working its way here now.

The only reason I was interested the Asteroids was parts. It has a nice G05-801 monitor, owl eye coin door, power brick, ar board all will work in the Lunar Lander cabinet.

So I called the lady and offerd $50 for the stinky cab, I asked if they could clean out the poop. They accepted I picked it up poop was gone, but the smell still there. The cab will have to be trashed, but the parts will live on in a Lunar Lander

They modified the cab and added some really cool wheels, cant wait to post pics of that!!

A good enzymatic followed by a coat of kilz may remediate it. Be careful to apply lightly,let dry, and repeat as all enzymatics are water based and can cause water damage. If it were me, I'd definitely try and remediate vs. destroy, but then again I own a store that sells pet odor removers!

The parts are worth way more than $50.

What are you going to do with the rest of it? I could use an Asteroids Marquee for decoration

It looked like it might play blind so I took off the marquee and light. big mice nest. little baby mice dead, im sure they were alive when I picked it up. It pretty sick!!! The speaker was eaten, totally gone. Bottom half of cardboard bezel gone

I hooked up a speaker. machine coins up and plays blind Bonus!!!

Yea there is no saving this cab, its history believe me Im all about saving them but not this one.

The machine is totally gutted, all the parts got there first spray down!! Cabinet is in the back of the truck ready to go to the dump.

Here are some pictures of the nest behind the marquee. found five dead babies up there. I was right they were prob alive when I picked up the cab. I found a live baby in the bottom down by the powerblock

LOL yea it was a 3 shower day all the nasty is done Worst cab I have ever got!!! Great parts though

Would have been nasty to get it back working, with poop intact. I would have picked every part I could without getting near the bottom of the cabinet. Good job.

I think you may have this game confused.

What you are mistaking as Asteroids is the much more rare game Ratsteroids. Came free with live rats (and love handles).
