$50 Gauntlet in San Diego

The ad is gone.

I couldn't make it down there, too many family responsibilities. He still had it when I called on Sunday.

You can't go wrong for $50.

I have too many cabs anyway.

That is what I was thinking. Starting to get nasty in So Cal.

wow, just wow. we got some heavy rains and wind yesterday!

sadly, got some water up in my garage yesterday :(

luckily nothing got damaged, but i did have the fan going all day once the rain subsided....

anyone else in socal have any leaks or flooding??

even in Norcal

I just got done Shop vac-ing about 12 gallons of water from my family room carpets.
Damn outside drain is clogged next to these french doors we have.

sorry to hear about that man.

are you going to have to replace the carpeting??

french doors can be real pricey too!

sounds like we are going to have more of the same thing ALL week.

I have a few foundation leaks that I fixed before the rains started. I have some project cabs in my garage and I put them up on blocks just in case. The door to my arcade building blew open briefly but I got it closed before anything bad happened. I now have it secured.

I live on hillside property and during the last El Nino we had a lot of mudslides in our neighborhood. The place looked like a war zone. A lot of old retaining walls fell over and crushed cars and made a spectacular mess. The damage was in the millions.

My guess is that the third storm will do the most damage.

My office is almost empty. I guess people weren't too keen on rowing home today.

I'm used to finding leaks in the ceiling wherever I live when rain like this happens, but none so far.

A few years ago, when I was most paranoid about water getting in, I lived in a bottom-floor apartment. So, I figured I'd be okay. And then some idiot stuffed up the pipes in the apartment above mine, and flooded my place while I was at work. Came home with an inch of water damage on my Mappy machine, and my laptop and other electronics ruined. *mad*

It says the safest place to be in a tornado is a basement. How many basements are there in California???

I survived a tornado in April 1975, in Illinois. We went into the basement and all hell broke loose upstairs. It was all over in minutes but the destruction was amazing.

One around here seems unlikely. Tornado warnings are very common in the Midwest, and so are the more serious "Tornado Watches".
