Someone offered me a NARC for $50. They said it needed a new "tv screen." I haven't seen it yet, but if the cab is in decent condition and the monitor doesn't have any physical damage, would that be a good price to get it and flip (assuming I can fix the monitor)? I'm not interested in the machine, really, but thought it might be fun to try and fix it.

NARC is a cool game, I love it! It was the second game I got, dead for $10 at a garage sale... Still have it all these years later hundreds of games later.

IT USES A 19" MEDIUM RESOLUTION MONITOR, finding a replacement might be tricky but worth it if the game and cabinet is in descent shape!

I don't think you can go wrong for $50, I'd easily pay that for the spare parts for mine and I'm a cheap bastard often!

They are medium res monitors which make them more difficult to come by a spare. Given that, I love the game. I'd take it for $50, or I'd buy it from you after you get it working.

Oh, didn't quite answer you but yeah, for $50 you have some room for profit if everything on the game is not busted!

I'd guess its between $200-$400 depending on condition and location. I wouldn't let mine go for under $400. You hardly ever come across NARC's, I've only seen a few.

snag that shit homey

fix it
play it
keep it
or
sell it and make a little piece of money
and move on to the next one
when you get bogged down is when you rent a storage unit for all the projects

:)

I just bought a complete NARC for $75.00. The game had a PCB issue (missing 4 ROMS). I took the monitor out of it and stuck it in my paperboy. :)

So, yes, $50 is worth it!
