This is what I ended up with: A Z back (I think it is a Z back) in really good condition that was a Neo Geo but didn't have the board bezel or marquee. When I got it home I found a Double Dragon cart in the bottom of it. While I was talking with him, he said he had a pacman also if I wanted to look at it also. I followed him to his other location and I saw the Super Pac cabinet and I got excited. I Like Super -pac. Once I got to the side of it I noticed that it was converted to a Jr. Pac-man but wasn't to bummed about it. He plugged it in and it came on. I ended up offering him 150.00 for the Jr. Pacman and brought them both home.

Once I got them Home I plugged a board into the Jamma and it fired right up. The 25inch monitor needs some adjustments and a good degaussing but it is playable. The Jr pac needs some monitor work and the biggest adjustment on it will be getting the image back squared. On the Z back I need a marquee and bezel, so if anyone has an extra please feel free to pm me.

The super PAC image is probably caused by a twisted yoke. Carefully loosen the wing nut and gentle twist it on the neck your image will rotate with it. Do this while the game is on so you can see when your right.

That's a Z-clone (or whatever they officially are named now...keep forgetting). I *believe* the dimensions for glass/marquees are slightly different from a 3Koam Z-Back. The giveaway is the control panel and the top portion viewed from the side. On a Z-Back that top part is a flat then a slanted angle, then straight down. That is a straight flat then immediately down.

Nice find!

Nice! That monitor will look great once it's fixed, looks nice and crisp and bright!
I'd keep the Jr Pac a Jr. if I were you, but if you convert it back to Super and sell the parts Jr. Pac related, I'd be interested.

Nice find!

It's an angled cab. I have the useless manual right here that a KLOVr sent me.
I have 3 of them and dig them BUT they are sorta weird. You are missing the lower Marquee bracket which is going to be IMPOSSIBLE to find. Seriously... Check my threads as I have marquee and bezel/glass dimensions for that thing. I also have a mess of control panel inserts for the said machine. I got three full machines and have a full Control Panel deck (includes harness etc) to quickly swap out into machines and convert it into something else. That's what's really neat about this machine. If you can find extra control panels then you can quickly flip them into something else. It's like 3 minutes to unlatch and to swap in a full game deck/CP.

I'm working on a SF2 dressed machine slowly

The Marquee is a square piece of wood with the middle just cut out of it for the monitor. It's a rough cut also... they just did it w/ a jig saw. They we well made and designed cabs but they sorta just took some short cuts with some parts.

how would i know jrpac would beat me to this thread. like i'm psychic.

I'm digging the Jr. Pac and it is gonna stay a Jr. Pac. I need to find a new CPO for it. I guess I have to figure out how to finish off the angle cab. :(

You should be able to use just about any marquee bracket as long as the angle lines up right. I might have a few brackets lying around but have no idea if they would fit that cabinet.

I'm working on vectoring it so I can sell the vector and have one custom printed.

I also have two of these cabinets and love them. They were produced by the "Angle Manufacturing Company" out of Tracy City, Tennessee, which still builds cabinets today (http://www.anglemanufacturing.com/). I actually e-mailed them to get some information about the JAMMA edge connector in one of my cabs, and they ended up sending me some harness parts that they had on the shelf for free (I just had to pay shipping). I'd suggest contacting them for any small parts - they were extremely helpful, especially considering the cabs are 20-ish years old. Best of luck, and drop me a note if you need any dimensions to custom fab replacement parts.

I have never cared for the Z-back style cabinets, however, I love Super Pac-Man. I even really like the Jr. Pac conversion. When done properly, it looks great in that cabinet. The huge ass Pac with the funky eyebrows for side art just kicks ass. I love the "bite mark" in the cabinet. As everyone probably knows by now, I have had a Super Pac cocktail for about 2.5 years now but I have wanted a dedicated upright since about '82. Ideally, I would like to have the upright and cocktail as well as a Jr. Pac converted upright. I really like the front decal from the kit. At least, I can play Super Pac. I also have a Jr. Pac PCB I occasionally put into my Pac or Ms. Pac.

@ OraganPacMan ----- Super Pac is probably my fav also. I can remember playing the game at Arcade at LSU back in the day. I really like the Art and the cab design.
