Somewhat OT, but I have one of those 5" B&W TV/Monitor that I use as a composite testing monitor, and lately the picture has developed a serious "wave" (What Randy Fromm refers to as "doing the hula"). Supposedly a power supply problem, but I don't have a schematic and I am really not sure where to start. Is anyone familiar with these little monitors and would have an idea of how to correct the problem? Any input appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

"Typically" that is a symptom of a failing capacitor. Namely the mains filter cap which is usually the largest cap you can find in the power supply section where the mains power comes in.

Just taking a shot in the dark on anything specific to that 5"er though.

That sounds reasonable based on other stuff I have read. I am considering just going shotgun and replacing all the caps, since I can't find a schematic; but I think it might be more cost effective just to replace the thing...
