I sold a pacman cocktail multicade with a 48 in 1 board in it to a guy 2 weeks ago. It worked perfectly fine in my house for 2 days being on for a few hours at a time.
Dude calls me a few days after he has it home, and says the speaker is squealing. I heard it on the voicemail, and it is a kind of high pitched squeal.
The thing that throws me off guard is that he says it doesn't start doing it until the game has been on for 5 minutes or so.
I've had him reseat the jamma connector with no effect.
Has anyone ever encountered this issue? I had a light squeal on my 48/1 Xevious, but it was because the connector was loose. Like I said, the delay really throws me off. This evening I started thinking maybe the monitor or power supply are making the sound. It came through pretty loud over the phone though, and I don't think a monitor or PS would come through that loud from a closed cocktail. He seems pretty sure it is coming from the speaker anyways. I just don't know what could have changed from my house to his...
Any ideas? I really don't want to make the 1 hour trip up there...
