The title of the thread speaks for itself.

I rewired the black light back up to the Space Invaders Deluxe cabinet, turned out all the lights in my 'cade and filmed away! So now, for all those fellow gamers who were ever curious about how Galaga, Pac-man, or Centipede looked in the moonbase/ spacefield effect, here ya go.

To my amazement the optical effect worked really well. Some games looked really cool. Others looked like shit as you'd expect. Anywhoo, for all those who are interested, watch my youtube video:

Even with the full effect not showing in the video, Breakout looks cool as hell. Looks like a lot of fun, and you can always turn off the blacklight for games that look craptacular with it on.

what did you hook the blacklight to on the switcher?? the AC lines??

i have a cab i want to hook 2 blacklights to the switcher, so i was wondering!!

yup, blacklight runs down to the AC. I'd like to eventually hook the rear on/off switch up to the blacklight somehow, so I can easily turn it off when I want to. There was already the available AC cord for it.

Awesome, looks great..what did you use for a CP? or i should say controls

just left the CP alone. I removed the center button from the hole and installed a red, ball-top 4-way joystick. Held in underneath by 4 screws. I've got another video on my youtube page showing the exterior of the cab.
