Im having trouble with the sound on some of the games on this pcb. It sounds just like when your speakers are blown. There is music and sound, but its all acratcy. For example I have the original Bomb Jack PCB with jamma adaptor. Sound is great on the original. But when I play it the 48 in 1, the **sound effects** are scratcy but the music are normal. Same with 1942.

Is this a known issue, or is there something wrong with mine? Some games sounds great. I have checked the 5v and is measures fine. All my other jamma pcb sounds ok.

Ive noticed that they now sell the 60 in 1 for 99$ on ebay. Is it time for me to upgrade?

It's not your particular board, that's how they all sound. I don't think the 60-in-1's actually have any sound improvement. I just tried both Bomb Jack and 1942 on my 48-in-1, lots of distortion on both. I know a few others have some horrible sound too, like Gyruss, Millipede and Phoenix.

They do the sounds by pumping data out from the CPU through a dual 16-bit DAC (Digital to Analog Converter)... This results in some very crappy sounds.

Is there any alternatives to this board, or are they all the same?
I bought a happy fish, but it did not work, and the seller would not accept returns. He told me that he has no control on what people do with their pcbs, so he refused any returns.
