48 in 1/60 in 1 Video Problem

I have a 48 in 1 and a 60 in 1 and they both have the same problem; no CGA output. The VGA out works fine, but regardless of how the DIPs are set the only output I get is on the VGA port, the CGA output gives no picture. They were working fine, and one day they just stopped giving me output. I had run into this before, on newly purchased boards, but those I returned. These I have had a while and have just recently developed the problem.

Is this a common problem (for anyone else besides me)? Is there a fix?

Thanks,
Dan

Is there any comon factor that may be contributing to the failure? Are you using the same PC monitor to test all these?

Are you checking this via a standard JAMMA harness, or through an adapter? I've found some adapters don't have the video ground connected so you don't get a picture...

Also, if you are running monitors that need an isolation transformer, without an isolation transformer you can blow boards.

Make sure the monitor is connected properly and that the field grounds are connected where they should be, even to the switching power supply for the game board.

Yeah, that was the right track. Sync problem on the multisync monitor, and a short in the Jamma cab. Comedy of errors but they are working now. Thanks!
