I don't have a pic handy right now, but the number on this adapter has a dot on both sides of the number.....not a line underneath like you would expect. Is it a CR-6 or a CR-9?

Is that for a Space Invaders tube? Think it's a 6.

Scott... You and Al were holding out on me you chumps!!!

:)
We were trying to figure out how much to charge you! :D

So the 6 has a dot on both sides of the number, and the 9 has a line underneath it? I know one of them has a line underneath, but I figured it would be both... Like 6 or 9 ...
Just to be clear...I have an adaptor that is either a "6" or a "9". It has a dot on the left and right side of the number. Problem is, it looks the same no matter if you hold it rightside up, or upside down. It's either a 6 with 2 dots, or a 9 with 2 dots....wtf???

A rejuvenator would be a nice item to have. And of course more storage space....
They're definitely worth having, at least to me. I used mine to save a crappy Matsushita tube in my Pole Position and I figure with less and less new CRT monitors available, it's one of the best ways to get some more use out of old ones.

Will a Matsushita tube work with a 4600 chassis or is it different pin config? I heard they take a different CR adapter than most 10 pin tubes which use the CR23.

Ok, here it is...

Is it a CR-6?

Or is it a CR-9??

What happened to putting an underscore on the number when it's a 6 or a 9?

I'm gonna say a 6. If you are looking at another adapter which way is it printed on the others?? The company will usually print the characters the same direction on all the adapters.

Thought of that. It's not consistent -- sometimes they print the number with the plug facing up, some with the plug facing down.

Is that actually a CR # on those ?
I thought they were just adapter numbers, so that when you looked up a tube number it would then tell you which adapter to use. (not necessarily what CR# it was)
If that is the case look to see what all a #6 and a #9 fit and see what the difference in pinout (CR#) would be. See if a 6 and 9 have the same pin count or something, maybe there is an obvious difference between them.

i.e. A CR23 tube might use adapter #8 or something.

The number printed on this particular adapter is the CR number. CR-## is B&K's model number of the adapters for the 467, 470, 480 & 490 rejuvenators (and maybe more, not sure about that).

CR23 is not a valid tube, a tube model number would be something like 19VJTP22, which takes a CR-23 adapter.

I think it's a 6 too. But nope, all the other numbers are plain, no dashes. Nobody has a 6 AND a 9 they can compare for me? :(
