Both of these are from 4600 chassis....but they are different and i never noticed it till now....will each on work on a specific 4600 chassis only?...are they interchangeable between any 4600 chassis?

One of the chassis has the horizonral width coil attached to the base of the monitor frame meaning to remove the board to do a cap kit i'd have to desolder the wires from width coil....the other chassis, the width coil is connected to the little frame that holds the board so i could remove the board from monitor frame without desoldering the wires to width coil.

Clear as mud?

So being the frame set ups are slightly different, which daughter board goes to which frame?

And i cant test them in each chassis because each chassis doesnt work at the moment.

They're all interchangeable. The two different placements of the width coil, at least for me, was a 13" vs a 19" monitor. It would still be best to CAREFULLY desolder the width coil, from both, as they are brittle and can easily crack.

They are largely interchangeable but in this case they may not be 100% interchangeable with the two main chassis you have. I refer to this thread often when I need to ID one:

Looks like you have a p317 and I'm guessing the other is a p305. The main difference AFAIK is that the 317 has a horizontal centering pot, but not every 4600 main chassis supports this feature so if you put the p317 back into the wrong board, the centering pot may not work. This is explained in the thread above, there is a mod you can do to the main chassis so it will work.
