45RPM Record Source

Cool... I'll put together a list...

Briefly:

Beastie Boys - Anything from Licensed to Ill

Metallica - Anything from Kill em all to In Justice

The Doors - Anything really

I've got quite few of these. I am looking for AC/DC, RATT, 80's Pop and New Wave, well, just give me a list of what you have to trade.

Let me put a list together. I know I have a at least 2 doubles of Ratt...

....and some doubles of Tiffany...

...and maybe a double or two of Elton John.

Seconded re: thrift stores but if you have an actual record store anywhere in town, or even driving distance, ask the manager about bulk buying. Many of them have bulk trade in stock in boxes in the back, but won't dedicate the space to display them because 45's don't pull in the dollars like albums do.

A local record store went out of business last month, and they were selling 45's for .10 cents each. Those along with a bunch from an op I got a couple years back should have me set for a long time. I think I've got 3500 to 4000 records now.

Well... I found a place in downtown Nampa that has been there for some 40+ years... it has a BOATLOAD of old stuff... old books (thousands)... old LP's (thousands)... old 8-tracks (hundreds and hundreds)... old casettes (too many to imagine)... old art... and

Old 45's. I got to take a peek at about 20 of their boxes (each with about 200)... and, get this, the guy claims to have "about 75,000 more down in the basement."

Unfortunately the guy is a hardass on price and won't budge. $2.00 a record... period. Doesn't matter if you buy one of a hundred. $2.00 per record. The only exceptions are damaged/sleeveless which he has a stack of (about 1,000) at $.50 a record but I wouldn't put a needle to them. I ended up picking up about a dozen that I wanted but had to keep from going crazy because they could add up.

I tried to convince the guy to do 25 for $25... wasn' budging. Hell, I tried 15 for $25 and he wouldn't go. I got 13 for $24. The only reason I got the extra was because Foreigner Girl Like You was in pretty bad shape... so he threw it in free.

$2.00 a record is fair.

I hope you are joking... Klumpy is a great guy to deal with.

Awwwww. Thanks Bclark! Pmichelsen is a pain in the ass. Trust me. He sits across from me in the office. Best thing is since I am his boss. I can make him go pick up games for me..which I have done in the past.....

I found Beastie Boys - Fight for your Right & Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast if you are still interested.

Hell yeah... shoot me a shipped to Nampa, ID 83686 price and I'll take em both.

THANKS!

EDIT: Sorry guys... my thread... my records... ;)
