4 way joystick in 60 in 1 multicade

So I build my buddy a 60 in1. I figureout through process of elimination that a brand new 8 way joystick is the best way to play all games. My buddy didn't like it for ms pac man, (which is the main reason I built him this game), so I ordered a leaf joystick from bob roberts, made it a 4 way and those classic games like pac man, burgertime, etc. play awesome. Games like scramble and so on, do not play so well with a 4 way. oh well

I thought those leafs from bob were 4 way/8 way?

If not you can always get a j stick they are 4 way / 8 way, but they are microswitch.

Can't you just hide the 8 way and trackball games? I was toying with the idea of building one, and I was going to go 4 way with the others hidden.

If you do a Mame setup use an Ultimarc U360 and then you program it to be a 2/4/8 way depending on the game...

Yeah, it is 4 way or 8 way, but my buddy's main concern
was ms. pac man. So I went 4 way leaf, to get as close as we could to the real thing.
