Can anyone fix a 4-Player Simpsons Board that is having graphical error. I reseated all chips and still didn;t fix anything.

Graphical issues can be caused by multiple things on that game board...

Bad solder on the surface mount customs... bad ROMs... bad surface mount customs... or gouged traces.

Push the test button on the board and go into the board test in the menu. It'll test the ROMs and tell you if it thinks it has a bad one. Any of those 4 things I mentioned could cause the ROM check to fail.

do what channelmanic said.

that looks more like a rom issue, looks like there's just certain sprites (the fat guys?) missing entirely.

your monitor looks like it's missing blue too.

On boot up the roms check out. During the Test on the roms...everything checks out. Now what could be going on if everything is saying it's ok?

boot rom check isnt as thorough..look at your board and press the menu button while its on and run a check on all your rams and roms.

where is that located on the board. there is a menu that boots up to the normal boot screen on the board and still everything checks out.

yeah did that and everything checked out ok. what can possibly be screwing up homer and the family?

Bad solder on the custom chips... bad custom chip... gouged traces...

can anyone fix the board for me then? i dont; have the knowledge or expertise to track down why the board is acting up.

I would PM or email channelmanic. I've seen his repair logs on Simpsons pcb's and you can see from his response above he knows his stuff. Check his sig and you'll see a link to his site and a link to his repair logs. Obviously I can't say if he'll take on the job, but looks like he's at least worked on Simpsons boards before.
