Hi guys,

I finally got my Double Dragon pcb removed and my Crime Fighters pcb installed and working - kind of.. :)

The player 1 works great, but the player 2 wont start. It's Jamma so I figured it would be a seamless swap. I'm learning quickly that that there's really nothing "seamless" when you're a arcade noob like myself lol.

I made sure I added credit using both side of the coin mech, but still no co-op.. Can anyone who is familiar with these 2 games help me?

Thanks a million!

Check out the pin outs on each of the games and compare. Even if its JAMMA, sometimes their might be a wrench thrown in there ;)

I have a DD cab, and I cant visualize the coin mech set up off the top of my head but I think they are daisy chained since player 1 and 2 share credits. I could be wrong!

Do you have a multimeter? This is the first tool you should buy if you plan to work on your own machines.

Once you have a meter you need to look at the coin door and find the switches that are actuated by the coin drop. Normally these are at the bottom of the door, just above where the coins will drop into the coin box.

Each switch should have two wires going to it, normally one wire is black and the other is an alternate color. You need to check for continuity (zero, or near zero resistance electrical path) across the two alternate color wires.

Okay thanks, I'll try this tonite and report back!

Hey guys, before I attempt this do you know if "un-daisychaining" the coin 1 and coin 2 will affect how the Double Dragon pcb works if I ever want to switch it back from Crime Fighters?

Does DD care which coin slot the quarters are going in like CF does?

(Forgive me if this post doesn't make any sense, I'm trying!)

You will not have any problems with your double dragon PCB when you put it back in because Coin1 is still connected to one of your coin slots.

you're just adding coin2 and will now have both.

don't worry go for it!

Thanks man! Ok, wish me luck! :)

My best guess is your coin drop switches are both wired for JAMMA player 1. Do you have continuity between the two switches?

if this is a Taito Double Dragon cab then yes... the harness is only wired for one credit for P1. Both slots are wired together. You'd need to run another wire from the 2nd slot right to the edge connector to address this.
