4 player dimension

Rule of thumb: 1" bigger than the door they have to pass through.

But the above dimensions are a good approximation.

Are you building one?

4 player

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL...

Im building a 4 player Cp. It was an old Street fighter 2 cab, 2 player.
Its a tank seriously .. so I'm gonna fit 4 player Cp instead of 2. Recently bought
6 in 1 jamma pcb I think its slick. Just need to take the time and
Design first.

This is prob a dumb question, what's the chances of a
Sega Genesis controller working compatible with 3-4 player pcb.
If there is a previous post on this a link would kick ass.

Thanks
Justin

I don't know the answer to that. I'm sure it can be done and someone here might be able to answer. But you will have better luck here http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/ since that's the kinda stuff they focus on.

You have a 3KOAM style arcade machine that was commonly used by Capcom. They did the 3 and 4 player games in this style cab also. The wood CP base hs sections knocked out of it for 3 and 4 player setups in the metal plate. Yes, moving all fo the controls to accomidate 4 players would be a pain as the thing is meta.

Genesis controllers are encoded so you can't get a straight 1 to 1 pin out for your JAMMA harness.

You would need (joy=4)+(coin + start =2)+(3 action buttons and ground) ten wires total to power everything. 11 if you are going for a game like D&D Shadows of Mystara.

I would suggest building the appropriate harness adaptor that goes to P3 and P4 on a Neo Geo style pin out and just plug in Neo Geo controllers. They are more expensive ($30~40) but would save you from hacking the controller.
