So I finally got hold of a TMNT cabinet, I am working on getting it brought back to a TMNT or Simpsons cabinet (not sure which wouldnt mind opinions on this too)

Someone had mentioned I could go Jamma and still play more than one game with a all in one jamma board. Doing more research on these, it looks like they only come in 2p options? Any 4 player games do not work with 4 players? I can get a companion switcher, but I am not really following how that helps.

Is this doable?

I'm actually looking into doing this as well.

I'm not sure if there is a switcher for the 3rd/4th player and to be honest I'm not sure its needed.

All we really need to "switch" is video and audio. Everything else can either get paralleled together or isolated via diodes (that would get messy).

Look at it this way. Lets say you have a Turtles and Simpsons board in one cab. If you have Turtles selected and you add credits to the cabinet it will credit both boards but ONLY turtles will display the credits and be playable. So what if Simpsons is running in the background with no monitor or speaker connected to it. :)

That said, I am on the lookout for a 4 player JAMMA switcher.

I think there are some on here for sale, or do you mean so you can have 6 JAMMA boards? I was looking at the all in one options.

I think most are doing this with a 6in1 jamma switcher, and then purchasing a condensing board for the extra player 3 and 4 kick harnesses. I happen to be selling the kick harness condenser boards. The jamma switchers are available on aliexpress.

2, 6, 15. wouldnt really matter.

So long as you have enough power in the cab you can add as many boards as you want to the machine. The trick is the number of boards that the switcher will support.

I'm looking for at least 3. Turtles, Turtles in Time and Simpsons.

Nice looking diode boards! Thats perfect!

And to the OP. These boards do exactly as I mentioned. They combine all the inputs of multiple boards to one set of controls (per player) with diodes.

Ok, so it sounds like it wont work for what I was looking for (multicade I guess?)

Now I am even more lost than I was before haha. Back to researching.

YOu ultimately want to have two 4 player boards in one cab, right? Then yes, its totally doable.

Get the 2 board JAMMA switcher and the 3/4 player condenser that kuhurdler is selling. Done

No,

I am trying to use this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/112175967533?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true

But it looks like that it will not work with 4 players only 2, I was hoping that I could use the condenser but it sounds like these multigame boards wont work. Please correct me if I am wrong.

That is correct. That board lacks the physical connectors to attach the controls for players 3 and 4.

my point is that you dont NEED to switch players 3 and 4. Use the Condenser to connect to the game boards and the controls. Like I said, the un selected game board wont be displayed or heard so who cares if some random character is actin a fool in that game.

EDIT: Nevermind. Just clicked on the eBay link.

Well boo.

Do I have any other options ?

I am reading up on it now but it does not look good.

But it does not look like the gameboard supports players 3 and 4?

I want to be able to play TMNT/The simpsons with all 4 players at once. That is the overall goal.

@Justme123, are you anywhere near Dallas? I can help if you need it.

you gonna love this. I am right near Prosper, 380 and Customer haha. Would love some help.

You could walk to my shop! LOL! You know where that Herbs Auto Body place is on 380? I'm in that business park just north of them and behind Wally world.
