I have managed to acquire 3 police trainer boards over the years. Don't know why so many decent cabs were converted to this mediocre game.
Anyway, had a PT board running and one day the video output went all screwy. Swapped in board number two, which worked for a few days then went screwy in the exact same way. Checked Voltage, all seemed well, figured "Just my luck" and I swapped in board number 3. Wouldn't you know it... board 3 does the exact same thing. I looked through the archives here, and don't see it as a known problem. I wonder how I managed to blow up three of these. See attached pic.
Yes, I have cleaned and reseated everything. Tried voltage bang on 5V, @ 5.15, and @ 5.25 with no change. Green and red LEDs blink away happily. Sync polarity and orientation dips do nothing. Still have sound. Monitor works fine with other games.
