With Crazy Otto and Pac-Man & Chomp Chomp out of the way I'm excited to start on my 2017 project. This time it's the chronological next step after Crazy Otto: Miss Pac-Man, one of the key steps between Crazy Otto and Ms. Pac-Man.
Original plan was Teeter Torture but I suppose that will be postponed until next year?
It's not as historically significant as Crazy Otto as it is a development step rather than a 'product', but I find it fascinating nonetheless. Eventually I hope to give this one the same treatment as the first two projects and stencil an original cabinet.
This one's rather spur of the moment after winning an eBay auction for the original CPO engineering diagram for "Miss Pac-Man". Yes, I'm crazy enough to pay $127 for a sheet of paper LOL. thread: https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=399059
Member pinballace posted photos of original development sketches for the Miss Pac-Man sides by Tony Ramunni and I immediately began recreating the designs. It is very crude as I've only been working for a day but wanted to share progress.
As the images are too low resolution to reference I am hand tracing first to make a solid reference, then vectoring the hand trace. As I like to say I'm a terrible artist but a good copier
I am also recreating the game pixel-by pixel from GenComp's (fugly) original sprites, basing off my Crazy Otto recreation ROM.
