3D question

I'm willing to bet that filter board is the issue. You can also check continuity in the trace for the gas pedal wire on the filter board coming in and out as well.

And ensure you're using the same type of microswitch. It's not a typical switch. Has a long arm whixh hooks at the end and most likely has a small roller I believe.

It does have a roller on it I don't know if it's the right switch for that or not

I don't know if it matters but pcb is the Japanese version. I'm getting good connections from when I check with my meter. I pulled the wire harness out from underneath the the cabinet cuz that's where it runs and I cannot find anything that's wrong everything makes good connections good continuity. I'm not sure if there's something different with the Japanese version why it won't come out of 3D mode and then the stinking gas pedal don't work. I'm not too concerned about the 3D mode because I've got the glasses and it's working. There's got to be something simple that I'm missing

It could be a fault with the PCB possibly. If you can get your hands on another board, it would be worth trying. I can't think of anything else that would cause the issue. The wiring in this game is pretty straight forward.

That's what I did I got two of them and they both do the exact same thing and they're both Japanese versions

But the 3d glasses the original ones look pretty heavy duty I got these Asus vr100g there they're less than 50 bucks and they block out all the light from the outside so you can just see the tube. I have to admit it does look pretty cool

Hopefully you can find a fix for your pedal issue. I know the game very well and cannot think of what the issue can be, especially since you said you've done all the tests that come to mind.

Can you start the game by pushing the gas pedal? I believe it's tied into thr coin mechanism, at least its on my stand up and I know both slots register coins, but only one allows the gas pedal to start the game. Haven't dug into it, but maybe something to look at?

I went straight off the PBC harness to the switch on the pedal. With the sit down you know it's about 6 ft a wire

The harness that goes to the coin door if I plug that in the game won't work it'll go to the color screen then it says IO error

It's stuck in test mode. Can you get it out of test mode?

I.O error could be a bad ground or something shorting at the coin door or coin door Connector. I would definitely get that fixed first.

There's two pots there for the speakers there's a button next to the pot if I push that it'll coin up no problem. I checked continuity on one of the wires I haven't messed with the rest of them I think there's eight of them and it's a nine pin harness one of them is empty. None of the wires are damaged they're all in good shape I don't know what would cause that with that harness.

Everything checks out ok
