I an picking up couple of NEC Multisync 37"
I wonder if anyone has an interest in such a Large CRT.
It's 240 pounds of glass and steel.

maxium resoultion is 1280 x 1024 / 60.0 Hz
According to the specs it will shift down to CGA modes.
X37M is the series.

A 37 inch Ms pacman game will give you the feeling like your a little kid playing a grownup machine laughs.

Yes, I am open to trades.

Picture requested.

How big is a 37" CRT compared to a 19"
Big difference

$245 is what I am asking for..

I have to pass on one of these for now but I wanted to bump this thread for Joe, he's a great guy to deal with and these monitors are a rare and awesome find!

37in monitor

you can use these for a computer and a tv? if so i think i want one for a project !

Well it does have composite and s video inputs.
It does have internal speakers and way to add external speakers.

You could use one of those Off the shelf DTV tuners and watch TV

The reason why I searched for these because they are from the Old batch NEC multi syncs that could still run standard mode (CGA)

And it still can run VGA Mode at 1024 by 768. (I know It's small compared today standards) If it was the xp37 series 1280 by 1024 mode.

With California Big E waste movement. These Big CRT are getting harder to find.

The trick to get this work in standard mode is to go through the Mac type DB15 plug and Flip switch one to off. Going trough the BNC or the HDDB15 will give you sync issues.

monitors

if you could come by and show me how to hook my computer and tankstick to this i would take one and pay cash or trade a game for it. i am in colton ca 92324 [email protected]

It should Just plug it into the VGA port in the back.
The IBM VGA can go through the 5 BNC connector in the back or through the Regular VGA pass throu connector On top of the low densit DB 15 connector.

Even tho the owners manual says it will. I going to double check.
If I use the 5 BNC connector in theory you should be able to pop through each mode.
Have your Extreme tube and your dedicated game too.
You can Have One video input on a camera 2nd one on a Digital tuner box
It does have a place to add external speaker to it too .

Basically it has 4 Input 2 video and 2 RGB

Yes you can still buy one but they are expensive LOL

After tinkering with the software setting and the Dip switch.
I am able to get 1366 by 768 ( Highest reslution my laptop produces).

Switching back and forth between the RGB1 and RGB2 is now easy and simple.
