I have a 34" Sharp Image monitor that has some horizontal bleeding issues. As far as the chassis model, I think it is a SI-134 CGA model. It has a sticker identifying it as a 34" KTMF-R and under that sticker there was another that identified it as a KTM-F34. Silk screened on the gray chassis PCB is K1-2-VO. I think it is one of the Sharp Image monitors made by Kortek based on other posts. I have identified it as a CGA model based on a few values I got off the schematics on Randy Fromm's site, the CGA schematic shows a 2W 2.2 resistor at R906 and the EGA schematic shows a 3W 15 at R906. There are a handful of other small differences but this was the easiest to spot without pulling the chassis. The odd thing about it was that it had Mace The Dark Age in it and KLOV shows it as being EGA (Medium Resolution) with an unconfirmed report that the game PCB can be switched to low resolution. I do not have the Mace PCB, I got the cabinet in a warehouse deal and the PCB was likely taken by someone else who just sold it on eBay. I wish KLOV was more accurate as far as game resolution goes.
I was able to find another post where a 33" Sharp Image monitor (not sure of the exact model number) was displaying the same type of problem which a cap kit fixed. I figured a cap kit would be a great place to start but I have not had any luck in finding a cap kit for the SI-134. I have found one or two posts that suggest that any SI-XXX cap kit may work. I started to compare some of the schematics but some of the ones on Randy Fromm's site differ from the ones on the Free Info Society website and I am not sure which ones to follow. Does anyone know if a SI-325 or SI-327 cap kit will actually work for the SI-134 or is there someone who carries cap kits for the SI-134 that I have overlooked?
Thanks!
