I'm trying to find out anything about this monitor I read this thread http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=163973 but didn't really answer much for me. This is a 33" monitor that is not working, It is in a game requiring med resolution according to the information on well gardners website as well as in that thread it is vga only ? but again according to the wells gardner website game cross referencer it is the right Family u3000? so I'm totally confused as well as the fact wells gardner doesn't even list the u3000 33" monitor on there site. This is a funky monitor for sure and I'm not so sure where to start trouble shooting it but foremost I need to make sure it is a medium res or possibly a tri sync ?

Are they different?

are there different versions of 33k3201 I thought they would be all the same. I saw an old post on here for one for sale and the ad said med res. Here is the only pics I have with me the monitor is 60 min from me.

"U3000" is kinda a broad series of chassis on the same basic build platform.... so maybe it's like the U3100's are VGA and the U3200's are EGA.

What game? A lot of the newer stuff can run in multiple resolutions. Maybe it shipped with a med res monitor but has a VGA mode a previous owner set with the replacement tube.

I have a 33K3301 and it's VGA, it's in my Pump.

I always thought the Ux000 were based on the same platform, and it was like U1k = std U2k = med U3k = VGA and U5k = dual-sync, but hell if I know.

virtua fighter 3 deluxe showcase

It is from a virtua fighter 3 deluxe showcase I got from another member here, it was working when he got it then some how his chasie went missing and he bought a new monitor but couldn't get it to work, so the first thing I did was get it working on one of my known good monitors then I looked at the monitor that was in there and was confused as too if this was the correct res or not.

Serial number doesn't come up on WG's site. Send them an e-mail and ask...

The 3201 is a lot newer. They should at least be able to tell you the supported resolutions...

I hope so

I'm hoping for that and more but not holding my breath, I've contacted them before through betson west and supposedly they never even responded. I have a very very very rare IGT I was trying to rebuild and they wouldn't give me the time of day I looked up the ceo and called him directly and was surprised how cool and helpful he was and got me all my answers. So you never know but everyone else at IGT diverted me to another company and that is what I have got so for from wells gardner.

Well, with WG it's better4 to call. I don't think anyone there really knows anything about contact through the website.

As for IGT - it like all the slot companies. They want to know what casino you work for, and won't talk to you if you don't. Luckily, there are other sources of information...

Except for with this IGT no one believed me it existed, I was actually scared to call because some IGT machines they do not allow in private hands but after no one else could help I called and he was the only one who knew what I was talking about the ceo surprisingly remembered it quite well and on the spot. I was impressed then he went in person and talked to the techs that were there back then and got answers. it still looks bad (previous owners that the backyard was a good place for it) but works perfect.

W/G response

All of our U3000 used the 15 D for the video/sync input and I did check out your unit and it was made for Medium Resolution games.

Hello Kent.

Yes your monitor is a medium resolution monitor and you can get more info in our web-site.go to "SERVIC&SUPPORT", and scroll down to the 33' u3000 model. There you should find quite a bit of info that should be of great help to you.

I have a wells gardner 33k3201 can you tell me anything about it, like resolution even or and manuals are schematics for it. I pulled it out of a sega arcade game called virtua fighter 3 and no one knows what it is, this game requires medium resolution and I can't even confirm that.

Any help would be appreciated ser# is w/g 1307529

Thanks,

Kent

upside down post

That was a copy of our e-mails first e-mail I sent was at the bottom. So they were more helpful then I thought yet not so much. There information just does not match but okay I guess I have to run with what they gave me but odd he and the manual state 15 pin d-sub connector yet the board layout page does not show this? very confusing for someone like myself with average intelligence I guess. http://www.wellsgardner.com/pdf/Board/U3000_27_inch.pdf
