For my 30th birthday I wanted to have a get together with my family. I really was hoping to get either a touch screen game or pinball machine for the party, but we didn't have the time nor the money to get either or. But we did with what we had and we all had a blast anyways. Here are some of the pics and stories behind them.

My uncle turned his basement into his own little mancave. They (my aunt and uncle) took all of their loose change into the bank and cashed it in. 1400 dollars later and the first thing they bought was a new 55 inch flatscreen TV. All the goodies later, surround sound, a new blue-ray dvd player, and the addition of a dish network second box receiver.. and it's freaking awesome!

We ended up watching the slapstick British comedy and one of my favorite shows of all time, Are You Being Served? Man it looked awesome on this new TV.

Continued....

We were gonna break out the Atari 5200 for our gaming aspect of the night, but it was totally buried under a lot of junk in my aunt and uncle's spare room. So we broke out the plug and play that has Pac-Man in it. We held a Pac-Man high score tourney. I totally forget who won now, but it was fun. My mom, aunt and wife absolutely love Ms. Pac-Man and this was sort of a blessing in disguise to them since I don't have my Ms. Pac anymore..

My mom having her turn at it.. LOL.. If you would've heard what she said to those ghost's.. you would have laughed too!

Then we all played a World Cup Soccer tourney on his foosball table. I played as Argentina. I ended up losing to Brazil (my uncle). Again .. lots of fun.

The icing on the cake of the evening was the poker game. My uncle received this free poker table from a family friend. Hours later and I won the last hand walking away with 27 dollars!

Last but not least:

It was an awesome night.. one I won't forget. The only thing I wish he would've had complete was his double gumball machine. He still has yet to put anything in it. I told him to put M&M's in it... but he never listens to me!

I can't wait until he gets a pinball machine or a game down there. He claims the next thing on the list is a nice pool table though.. so I can deal with that.

Happy birthday! That's one of my favorite shows, but I don't know if I'd want to see Mrs. Slocumb or old jug-ears in hi-def  :D
