I bought 3 games last week, and still dont know if it was a good deal or not. I spoke for them sight unseen on description only, and drove 175 miles to pick them up, so I spent 300 plus 50 in gas. It was supposed to be 2 games in good working condition and a third one that didnt.

Game 1 is a Street Fighter, this is the dead game. art work on one side is missing, other side is torn

Game 2 is a Super Mario Bros in a Popeye cab (was supposed to be dedicated). This is one of the "working" games, the monitors color is way off and the picture is warped to where the top and bottom of the screen is not visible. The plywood on one side has the layers separating, and is going to be an involved fix.

Game 3 is a Ninja emaki, which I personally think sucks as a game, but is a Jamma System with a vertical monitor so I finally found a home for the multi board I bought off Wu last year (Im patient ;-))

Meh, its a little high IMO, but not terrible. That JAMMA cab used to be a Time Pilot or Phoenix. If you end up putting a multicade PCB in there, find some artwork from either of those games and give it the look and feel of a dedicated cab.

strangely enough, sitting out in the middle of the floor in front of the street fighter (you can just see the bottom corner of it) is the dead Pheonix that I pulled out to make room for the multicade

Sorry dude, I think you got the short end of the stick. Especially if that was 175 miles one way, which I think it is based on what you spent for gas. I would say that was worth around $200. With gas.

There was no dedicated cab for SMB, it was just a kit...and that is a nintendo cab so..pretty beat up but surely repair able...i dont 300 was that bad..kind of a long trip but if games dont come up that often for you in your area then ya do what ya gotta do..
good luck on the repairs..

i wouldn't say it's a bad deal. you can always put something else in that nintendo cab, and you've got a working jamma setup there. don't see too many of those around here for that price. i'd say you got a good deal, for the package.

I think $300.00 is a fair deal. The original Street Fighter is pretty desirable to the right crowd.

And based on the joystick and button placement, and the angle of the bezel, I think Ninja Emaki had once been a Vanguard.

Additionally, you could argue that there IS a dedicated Vs.Super Mario Bros.

The gray cab in this flyer is the dedicated single player Vs.system cabinet. Now granted, it's still a system game, so it could be any Vs. title, but if it was outfitted as a Vs.Super Mario Bros., I'd call it a dedicated.

and you could always turn it into a mario (non smb) or a dk, etc.

yea, the vertical Jamma really caught my attention, been looking for one for almost a year now. I wanted the Mario (still do), I just dont think I would have went after them if the condition had been accurately described to me, but after driving down and having the time and fuel already invested....
I dont mind the drive, this is Florida, 175 miles is only about a 2 hour drive:rolleyes: (yep, one way)

I had assumed that Mario came in the taller cabs instead of the standard Nintendo cabs (thats how I always see them, anyway), and the inside of the back door had Popeye instructions on it, I havent actually checked the cab itself. (Been too damn busy playing DK Jr on the multi:eek:) I agree, DK3 sucks, but Jr rocks

Quick question, can I test the SF boards in one of my other jamma cabs?
