30 Days To TRON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I remember Flynn saying in that preview was that he was having dreams of tron. So what does that mean? He contacted Alan why? To get that tron program. He needs Alan to install tron to get him out. Flynn wasn't tring to contact Sam. It just so happens Alan goes to Sam and that's what makes Sam go looking for hid dad. Just as well Alan had the keys already on him like he knew

Alan controls the MCP. ;) He's just throwing Sam into it to mess with his dad.

(That's my guess, anyway)

It's too bad that our IMAX was destroyed in the mother epic flood of all floods last Spring.

Whoopee. <sarcasm/>

And it should be available on DVD in the $3.99 discount bin two weeks later.

The first one sucked out loud and the new one will probably follow suit.

This just made me laugh!

I think the first one had its share of cheese bc technology really wasn't "there" yet in the overall social realm. Here on the East Coast, in 1982, we were just starting to mess with Apple 2C's and stuff like that. I think since technology hadn't really presented itself in everyday society IMO, people just didn't "get" what TRON was all about. Not to mention Disney wasn't really "getting" tech at that time either. Ever see The Black Hole? I rest my case..

Today, you have texting, the Web, PC's, networking, wireless routers, blah blah blah.. Plus, you have the cult following of the original film.

This one will do 10x better than the original IMO. Disney finally "gets" it.

I'm stoaked... I keep telling my wife it's the only movie I want to see in theaters any time soon.

What's with all the guys who joined in the last few months bashing it?

I want to see it at the midnight show but I currently have to work the Friday, and on top of that I'd have to go solo so I'm not sure of what I'm going to do.

My daughter wants to see it (or so she claims) but she could never do midnight.

I'm probably going to go solo, as I want to decide if it's appropriate for the kids before taking them... fortunately it's not the type of Disney movie you really don't want to go to solo, unless you want to be thought of as a pervert...
I actually prefer going solo to movies that I really want to see, going with other people is too much of a distraction to me.

I wasn't bashing it. I am going to see it...but I am getting sick of hearing about it.
It better live up to all its hype. Not to mention that I can't find a decently priced Tron machine within 1000 miles of me! ;)
