I'm going insane trying to figure out why when I press any of the gas pedals it accelerates 1 or both of the other cars. All the wiring is good and the game seems to function properly when playing a single player but when someone joins in you are affecting each others acceleration. When going through diagnostics I have no errors but when testing the controls the gas is all screwed up, any ideas?

Make sure the wiring has not been pinched or nicked.

Be sure the wires are all connected to the correct terminals on the pots.

Try another Off Road game board to see if it's a board problem.

I've checked the wiring, it's fine. The pots are functioning good. I don't have another board to test with. Could it be a faulty ic?

What happens when you completely unhook the wiring to the other 2 pots? The same thing?

I had the same problem.

Here's how to fix it.

The pots run off of 5 volts, and ground. You'll see that two of the grounds connect together at the molex plug. Run three ground wires all the way to the power supply, and run three 5v wires all the way to the power supply, and it may fix it completely.

If it just makes it 'better' you can fix it completely by replacing the pots themselves.

I've fixed two of them that way. It has something to do with how the ground runs through the case of the pot.

Yeah, that seems common, though does it really matter? Does anyone actually let off the gas? The gas pedal is really just for looks IMO ;) .
