Didnt get any early before restore pictures but it had some water damage and a little swelling on the left side, sanded that off and reinforced with bondo, patched a crack on the front and some other imperfections with bondo and sanded.
Decided not to remove the old vinyl because I felt like roll painting would work better and seal the particle board better. Plus tearing off the vinyl would of meant a lot more sanding etc. used Rustoleum Gloss Sail blue. Thought it was a pretty good match.
The panel had night slashers artwork. Used a heat gun and scrapper. Tried the citrus stripper stuff and never again just makes a mess imo and dosent work that great. Did it all with a heat gun and scraping and mineral oil does great getting rid of the glue. Wish i would of took a pic before I painted it. It looked brand new and better than probably when it came put of the factory lol. Got the new cpo decal from GameOnGraphix it was in sale cut wrong.
Turned out pretty great I think, oh and saved it from near death still had the original Maxwell battery in it and was still holding a charge lol.
Also had just one bad cap on the monitor that was causing it to have no brightness/contrast was all. Makvision 25" std only forget the chassis number think it was c29 that was blown, it looks immaculate in person now. Did a full cap kit for good measure.
Think im gonna switch out the black sticks for yellow ones dont ya think?
