I'm typing this from a room at the Riviera Hotel/Casino (the wife is a roller derby girl, and they have a match here tonight), and sadly didn't take any pics because I was rushing around.

Centipede cocktail table, no monitor or pcb, has everything else including manual. $65 at a garage sale close to home...and the guy I bought it from was cool as hell. Ends up he repairs casino monitors and doesn't have a problem teaching a newbie how to do things like install a cap kit.

Yay - I usually hate garage sales!

$65 for a Pede cocktail with no monitor or boards? I don't think I would have gone for that. I would have hauled it away for free but I probably wouldn't pay for something like that.

That's cool, I almost looked at it as an obligation, since he was gonna MAME/maim it (in fact, he had a Centipede upright he was doing that very same thing to). And I'm pretty happy to have met someone up the road (I live on the far NW edge of Vegas) who has done a bunch of cap kits before.

Sadly, he's leaning towards "I think one machine that plays every game is all I need" train of thought. I thought MAME brings people to the hobby, not takes them away from it?
