Well I knew it was possibility but while having my 2nd floor addition work we got a heavy ass rain that was not really expected the night before the roof was being installed and seven games in the garage got water damaged...none really enough to trash but enough to piss you off cause they were all very nice cabs...guess that is risk you take but we had rain before and no leaks.....this time I had water coming through light fixtures in house and then the garage..before I got to it seven games got water damage..wasn't able to pull them until morning when rain stopped to dry them out..and dry off.

Luckily one cab I was going to have DPtwiz make me new cab for anyway(Krull)..so that leaves six victims.....I might sell or live with the damage ..have to see when they are completely dried out...I hate water...

List of games sustaining various water damage...
Toobin, Baby Pac, Dig Dug, Crystal Castles, Krull, Star Castle, and Space Panic

Basically most got enough to have some swelling here and there...not completely flooded other than star castle and krull..which got heavy water damage...surprisingly the star castle seems to have dried out pretty well...but I need to get more time to pull them out and look closely...

How good is your homeowners? My renters insurance PAID WELL for all of my games. They considered them all a total loss and i was able to get on ebay and get full (over)blown retail for each one..

I will tell you this.. GET THE BAcK DOORS AND CPS OFF NOW!!!!!!!

borrow/rent some high speed fans and leave them blowing inside for days. If you think a cab is dry, scrape the wood inside, if its way darker inside its still nto dry, keep going..

My plywood games were dry in about a day and a half, some of my mdf games took almost a full week to really get fully dry.

something i did not do but wish i would have done is get some plywood and those big wood cpamps and clamped everything while it was still wet. I really thing that would have helped redice the sewlling..

In either case, dude i feel your pain for sure. Sucks balls but what are you gonna do you know? But like i said get some fans and have at it.

THE LAST THING YOU WANT TO DO IS NOTHING BECAUSE THOSE CABS WILL MOLD AND MILDEW FAST!

Best of luck man. I hope all ends up well.

Its bad enough..the contractors insurance claims adjuster is supposed to meet with me next week so hopefully I can get enough to upgrade if need be...sucks too cause there were a few project cabs in there too ..wish they would have gotten the water and not finished games...

Dam that is much worse than mine was...but those mdf cabs don't need much...I was able to get the garage dried out and most of the cabs...I think other than Krull and Star Castles..the cabs aren't super bad...but to my standards it will bother me knowing how nice they were before...with that being said and those who know how anal I am..if you have a nice cab from my list..even if the game doesn't work..I have the inners..let me know..I will be looking to replace a few of these with nicer cabs...to be honest some of these wouldn't even be noticable to most people...but they are to me...those pictures are are some serious water damage..Mine would be considered minor compared to that...I'm hoping the insurance guy doesn't give me shit..I ain't in the mood for that..

hey man its like this.. say you had a ferrari in that garage..

DOesent matter if the water got just to the floorboards or all the way over the roof, fllod damage is flood damage know what i mean?

Hey brother I feel for you! I hate being a bit anal/ocd myself sometimes. I hope it works out for you with the insurance guy! Keep us updated!

Well the insurance guy made two trips to my place..one to see the damage inside the house and came back on another day so I could remove my games from garage that got damaged for him to photograph and get round numbers on..haven't heard back yet from insurance adjuster on what they will be giving me for all the damage...I have fingers crossed that it will be enough to try to replace the nice ones at least..I will let you guys know..fun fun..:(
