A few folks have asked if I would sell them by the tube. I will for $11.25 a tube plus shipping. I can re-pack them to ship cheaper than in the long tubes but still must be bought in multiples of 15 (full tube quantities).

If that's the correct part number, they're electronically erasable (EEPROMs), not OTP.

You're correct - thank you. I went by what I was told instead of checking. Even better and no UV light needed. These are eeproms and hence reprogrammable and can replace most 27512/27C512 eproms. I checked and most Chinese programmers and the GQ-4X programmer will program these. Data sheet here: http://html.alldatasheet.com/html-pdf/47654/WINBOND/W27C512-45/1011/4/W27C512-45.html

One tube sold. Listing updated.

Yes, I use these whenever possible now, as they're cheaper and easier to get, and use, than regular UV EPROMs. They also come in different sizes (all larger though, none as small as 2716's or 2764's). I suspect they're also more reliable than 30+ year-old EPROMs, though I don't have a lot of data to back that up, as I haven't had many of either fail.

I erase and program them with my GQ-4X no problem. They are supported in the default device list.

Also FYI, these are super fast, and can be used in place of bipolar PROMs on Atari and other boards, with brzezicki's adapters. Brian also makes adapters that can let you use them in place of smaller EPROMs as well. See here:

I'll have to send you a commission.....:)

I kept a bunch for myself for the speed reason - just thought they were OTP and I was OK with that. Being EE is a bonus.

Sale pending on the entire lot.....

Thanks for the link. I just ordered a batch.

Cool. Just be aware (at least with the ones I got), that if you're using a GQ-4X, you need to disable the 'ID Check' function (uncheck the box) when programming them, as the software will give an error otherwise. Maybe they're counterfeit and don't support the ID function, but they work fine otherwise.

These are all SOLD.

Turned into a good tech thread.

Yeah these are great.
That said I've got some on eBay or aliexpress that where an off color (brown) label and has a slightly different lettering/logo I'm thinking those where slower ones relabeled as they worked fine as normal roms but failed in my 82sxx kits, where as the white ones had no problem. So be careful if you buy them for my 82sxx kits if you get brown ones. Also remember you MUST use the 45ns ones for my 82sxx kits not the 70ns ones.

But yeah I love them as they erase basically instantly and cover a 16 bit address space completely which is great for single roms, or even just to replace any needed single 28 pin eprom by multiplying the images
