I bought an Under Fire game about 4 years ago. needed a 27" monitor replacement then. I replaced it with a 25"(took some adjusting and rigging) about 6 months ago because 27" monitors are a little hard to come by around here. it worked, but the guns weren't able to shoot the screen properly. Is it possibly because of the screen difference and the game was made for a 27" monitor? If so, does anyone lose to Greensboro, NC have a cheap 27" CRT monitor they want to get rid of? or even a WG 27k2391 controller board? I think mine is bad because I tried hooking it up, and it's concentrated into a 5 inch line(from up-to-down, you can see the game clearly) and stretches across the monitor. anyways... thanks.

1) the screen size shouldn't affect the guns registering. Other things like brightness adjustment, too much light in the room, dirty tube/bezel, dirty optic lens, bad optic board, low voltage to the optic boards, noncalibrated guns, or improper monitor type (like an LCD) would, though.

2) Assuming the problem isn't a bad yoke ( you could measure it to find out), your 27" U2000 chassis can be repaired....

never really worked on monitors before, only thing I know is short it out before operating, or even touching. I'll take some courses and learn. thanks :)

You don't really need courses. If you can use a soldering iron and can use a meter, then it's not that hard to do the basic steps.

Of course, you can always pay someone to fix it for you. I and others here offer repair services for monitors....
