Has anyone tried putting one of these in an MK style cab? Do the stock mounting brackets have to modified for it to fit?

With the 24.8 Mak's now discontinued, there aren't any other options in the market for new CRTs. Yeah, I could always rebuild when my current setup fails, but I'm just looking for that peace of mind with a new monitor.

In my prior experience, I had to cut a little the top and bottom wooden pieces to make a 26 inches monitor to fit. I guess it will be the same with a 27.

I've done it several times. I cut an inch off the top bracket (on the cabinet, not on monitor) horizontally. Monitor will sit in the bottom studs fine. The top studs are gone once you make a cut, so you will need to drill a hole and run a bolt through. But the bezel will lay under the wooden (glass) brackets on the sides. So if you have a players moves bezel it will hide any imperfections.
