pulled from my suzuki 8 hour because when i had the back panel off i knowtices the flys are cracked.. the one i pulled out so far has been capped at some point. but i put the new fly from Bob Roberts and now it will focus but i have to turn the focus knob all the way one way for it to focus... then after being one for a few min. it will loose focus and then refocuse after a few seconds... any ideas?

Do you have a good connection of the focus wire in the tube socket on the neckboard?

It could be possible you have a bad flyback out of the box.

Yeah, I'd say check your connection in the socket of the focus wire on the neck socket. Is it a pressure fit socket? (kind with the little yellow piece that snaps in)

Or is it a soldered connection? (little flap door that flips up, and you desolder the focus wire from a metal tab)

If it's a pressure fit, your fitting might be hosed. I had one go bad on me once. I ended up having to modify it to solder the focus wire directly to the socket - the pressure fitting wasn't doing its job any more.

ahh yes my wire just goes into it and clamps shut... ill mess with some more.. it looks like i could do eather one pressure fit or solder. ill look at in a few hours when i get up to take the wife to work.
