replaced ic3 still single line across the screen

now what lol

i also just went back and reflowed every single solder jount (just to be shure it was not a cold joint somewhere)

Measure the vertical yoke to make sure you are getting a reading. Check around the yoke connector fro cold solder or broken traces. I had one where the PCB was cracked right across one of the traces to the vertical yoke pin.

Also, check R91. Make sure you have +24vdc at pin 6 of IC3. Make sure C50 is in properly and there are no broken traces around any of those parts....

Thanks again out with the gf for tonnight I'll tear onto this beast again first thing in the am hopefully I can vet it going I'm tired of having 2 tubes sitting in the shop with no working chassis

does ic 3 require a mica inslator neither of my parts chassis had one installed

im going to order a new ic from bob (if he has them) when he gets more flybacks in

i checked the pcb under a mag and i dont see any scratched or cracked traceses
r91 meters fine out of circut

and c50 was replaced and installed the same as the old one (and it matches up with what is screened on the pcb)

arggggg man stupid k7000's 3 25 inch chassis sittibg in front of me and a 19 and i cant get any working right

makes me wish i just had ez20 's siting around at least they are easy to fix from dead lol

ps i dont have a manual on hand right now
anyone know the pot values on the p802 remote boards
i have 2 that are mangled and i have a spare p718 that im hoping i can scavange ppots off of

reat assured once you suffer for the rest of us i will be adding this thread to the common k7000 sticky. Id also be thinking ics or something near the vertical yoke connection

dumb question and im sure it doesrnt apply but check r101 and its traces just for giggles
actually remove it and desolder because sometrimes the trace burns/gets oxidized black UNDER the solder.

also swap out c51 just for giggles
