I have been playing around with convergence on this particular monitor just for the learning experience. The monitor had issues with convergence around the edges to begin with so it's a good unit to practice on. I do have a couple questions. I am referencing the monitor manual and it calls out for "Chloroprene Rubber" to fix the rubber spacers under the yoke. Is this what everyone uses to reapply the spacers and is it easy to get? Maybe there's a substitute out there that's easier to get (just speculating). Also, where can I find the self adhesive strips to guide me in converging the edges if needed?

the rubber pieces you speak of sound like the wedges? If you are missing some, you can steal them from old TV's, monitors, or just ask here as I'm sure people have them lying around.

As for the convergence strips, someone was sourcing them not long ago. Do a search and you should find the thread...

modessitt,

I am looking for the convergence strips. I'll look for the thread and see if I can find the source your speaking of. I have the rubber pieces (spacers), I just need a way to put them back onto the tube. Hot glue, rubber cement, etc.??

Thanks for the info.
