Hi,

According to Bob Roberts I should be able to program 2532 EPROMS using the 2732 settings and an adapter. Right now I am just trying to read the 2532 EPROMS using the 2732 setting, but it looks like I am only getting half the EPROM dumped. Does anyone know if I need to use the adapter to read the EPROMS also, or if this is even possible using this programmer?

Also has anyone used his adapter with a Superpro Z to program 2532 successfully?

Thanks

i have a superpro Z- i haven;t used it in a long time, though. But, if it will program 2732's (and i think it will, iirc), it will program 2532's using the adapter.
As far as reading without the adapter - i don't think you can, at least and not get the correct checksum. The adapter takes about 10 minutes to make using 2 24 pin sockets (you can skip the zif socket for casual use).
The only difference between 2532's and 2732's are some pins in switched positions.

You must have the adapter to read or write the 2532s as a 2732.

If you have the adapter and you aren't getting the upper half of the chip's data then check the uppermost address line on the adapter.

Just ordered the ZIF socket from Mouser, I'll give it a try when they arrive.

Thanks!
