25" WG K7000 has Raster but no Picture

Well I'll just add mine to the bunch!!! I have the horizontal raster lines also as pictured below. My chassis is a WG25K7191. I have neck glow obviously and my boards all work fine. At this point from what I have read here there is no solution to the problem so off to Arcade Cup it goes, I guess? I'm so damn tired of getting chassis fixed. I have another 25" wells setup that I will throw this chassis in tomorrow to see what it does. Can someone look at my other pic below to see if the connectors are in the correct orientation, they were hanging loose when I got the machine. Thanks!!!

Did you do a cap kit or replace any caps?
What parts have you replaced?

Your picture is to bright turn down the Screen Pot.
Let us know if it won't turn down..ccw

Check the wires from the main board to the remote board
they get dry-rotted and may break off at the back of chassis.

No parts have been replaced. I took the chassis out and installed it into another cab with the exact same setup and it works fine. So being that the chassis does indeed function I am assuming I have a PS issue maybe? The PS is one I have never dealt with before,Powerplay 150 from EM direct. I noticed when powered on that the PS's fan does not function.

So does that game "play blind" ?
Coin up and start a game with sounds, etc, etc..... just no picture.

Because a dead game will obviously give exactly what you showed in your pics.

I cannot hear the game coin up or play blind because sounds have been disabled in attract mode but the board does work.

Disable attract sounds should have no bearing on game playing sounds. Unless the volume is turned all the way down, it should do something. Your monitor may be okay, but your game may not work...

Volume is also controlled through the PCB on screen I think, being that I can't see it I can't adjust it. The game works just not in this cabinet LOL

Yeah, you're kinda chasing your tail worrying about the monitor if you don't know for sure that the game is "playing" in THAT particular cabinet.

Do you have another JAMMA board handy to throw in that cabinet ?
(to listen for coinup and game sounds)

Measure the +5 and +12 voltage at the JAMMA harness.

yes,I have boards, good idea I'll run one of those. How do I measure +5 and +12 at the harness? Never done it before and I would like to record it in my notes.

Here is a JAMMA pinout link http://www.arcadetreasure.com/techinfo/techinfo.htm

Hook your multimeter's ground lead into any of the pins labled GND on the JAMMA connector. Then touch the red lead to the ones labled 12V and 5V. Depending on the style of JAMMA edge connector, you will probably be best off by doing this from the back side of the connector.

Thank you sir. And I will be measuring set at VDC on the meter, correct?

My issue is resolved!!! Turns out my PS was powering the chassis and monitor but was not putting DC to my PCB. After replacing components on the PS game works fine. Big thank you to everyone who offered their help and advice on this. I and my kids really appreciate it,now they can play the game and stop bugging me lol

i gave up on it for now

i quit working on mine and set it aside i got some regular k7000's 19'' and 25'' to work on now so it will have to wait. if mod or cadilac want's a crack at it they are welcome to try it i need a pm from one of them with their address with whoever want's it. ill pay the shipping both ways plus a little somthing for their time if they want to take it on. would like to add the fix to the sticky for other people to have.

Peace

So yours is a K7000A then ?
(for a 19" I assume)

Symptoms being that there is just no image, but it has raster and neck glow ?
(just trying to catch up on yours)

its a real 27'' wells

no its the 27'' wells model with the extra board for extra adjustments not a k7000a or a 19'' its the 27'' wells model

Peace

Ah.... so a P538 chassis with the extra pincushion/adjustment board..... gotcha.

Just no image with a game that plays blind right ?
