I have a K7400 (WGM2474-U4TS16Q) with a 24 inch monitor. The monitor and chassis are immaculate and the picture quality is quite amazing. However, and I feel dumb complaining, but the missing inch of my display bugs me and I'll likely find a 25" replacement.

The question then remains, what to do with this odd sized monitor? I don't think its desirable in the community, but I could be wrong. I'm not even sure which game its originally from.

Is it possible to swap this chassis to a 25 inch monitor or is it really dedicated to 24"?

Most of the Wells Gardner 24" K7400 came out of a Atomiswave. A 25" will not fit in those. I've used a 25" K7400 chassis on a 24" K7400 tube with no problems.
24" K7400 chassis on a 25" K7400 tube should be no different.

Do not buy a fucking thing from this guy. Several complaints on this forum about monitors hes sold. He even submitted a false usps report which is a felony but don't worry his wife saw him pack the item so I'm sure that defense would hold up in court.

You're misinformed and seem to believe everything you hear. I've sold thousands of quality rebuilt chassis and have always handled any issues quickly and responsibly. Occasionally, a HOT may fail after some time, or a buyer may plug a chassis into a non-isolation transformer cabinet — and I always take care of those situations.

Your profile is hidden, so it's ironic to accuse me of wrong doing especially when I've never dealt with you at all. I sell on several platforms and consistently receive positive reviews. What you're spreading is false information, and making defamatory statements can have consequences. I'd strongly advise against spreading hearsay or misinformation. I don't understand the hostility from you, but I'd appreciate it if you stopped making baseless claims especially when you and I have never met, talked or even traded. You are just a shit stirrer.

I appreciate you defending yourself this time. I like when people stand up for themselves. How did you compensate @mjansma because I never heard you did? If you were put in a federal court do you think your defense of my wife saw me put the chassis in the box would hold up? You said someone from the post office burglarized the package, postal workers are bound by the 4th amendment unless there's cocaine or weed/explosive materials in the package and a dog smells it they cannot open your package for any reason whatsoever and will not do it whatsoever especially for a k7000 chassis. Do you know anything about how the united states postal system works? What I don't like are liars, if you made a mistake own up to it.

My experiences with 7400 is that the main chassis is set up for 25". If you want it to run on smaller (23 or 24) or larger tube (27) you need the pin cushion vertical pcb that plugs into the main chassis. The pin cushion pcbs are slightly different for smaller vs larger tubes, so you will need the correct one.

If you want that one to run on a 25", just remove the pin cushion pcb.

25" -> 19" & 25" -> 27" is a big difference.
25" < > 24" isn't going to do anything noticeable.
I've used 25K7400 chassis on 24K7400 that were missing the chassis.
This is what I was thinking, glad to hear it is a viable option.

Will do! I'll have to keep my eye open for a compatible 25" monitor.

I greatly appreciate the feedback.

thousands? the way I remember it, it was just 6 years ago you were posting about 5 threads a day of simple monitor problems and I replied in a lot of them. I don't know what pirate ships of monitors you're raiding in remote Alabama to acquire all the product you've processed but I'm fairly certain it's not in the thousands. lol

I got my inch back! I'm glad I complained about this here - another member observed my monitor beef and was in the opposite scenario, has a 25" monitor and needs the 24" monitor, and we lived relatively close to each other (just had to dip across the border).

We just met up and did a trade in the Bellingham Costco parking lot. Putting the monitors side by side and its apparent they are physically identical, just the mask is different (I think @mecha mentioned this in another post).

I know. people said I didn't know what I'm talking about. if I'm understanding correctly the lesser screen face means there's less chemicals in them. they work nicely on mirror games like Terminator 2 and Revolution X cause you can't really tell the difference. (a thing I literally did 10 years ago lol)

Interesting ive never seen the 24" k7400 before. Probably because my company never had one of those atomswave cabs someone posted above and idt ive ever seen on in real life. Just when you think you know everything about WG another easter egg is found.

What are the odds of that happening? Crazy
